Every civilization has its rebellious children, and the Megalopolis of Liberty City was no exception. Although the inhabitants of this place generally lived comfortably in their city, surrounded by all kinds of luxuries and without any desire to set foot in the unpleasant Wasteland, over the years, some young residents began to criticize that false life and advocated a return to nature. They were nothing more than a bothersome group of tree-hugging vegan hippies to be ignored and ridiculed, until, as often happens in these cases, one of them went a bit too far and killed several people in the name of their cause. Obviously, they were executed, but the rest of the ragtag group was given the choice to either head to the Wasteland or face the same fate. With those options, the choice was clear.

In their idea of staying in communion with nature, they decided to follow a primitive, natural lifestyle, as the true inhabitants of this territory, the ancient Native Americans from the books, had done in their time. The idea of dancing with wolves and becoming little big men seemed cool and very zen. So, what better option than to settle in the place where the tribes lived in harmony, an authentic traditional Indian settlement… an old casino. What they didn’t know was that this casino had been built on an ancient Lenape Indian burial ground, which, in turn, had been chosen as a home by a huge mutant abomination. A massive tentacled creature with powerful mental abilities, it had sensed the mix of feelings from the deceased Indians, still resonating like a psychic echo in the form of what we could call spirits. Its mind had somehow fused with the minds of the dead, and now that visitors had arrived, it saw clearly that it needed to reclaim the old tribe, aided by the ideas of this bunch of freeloaders.

Unbeknownst to them, little by little, the minds of these new visitors began to merge with those of the deceased Lenape buried in the cemetery, the former inhabitants of the casino, and the psychic creature. Thus, a twisted amalgam has formed in the brains of each resident, where although each one retains a degree of individuality, the whole group is connected, forming the Unami tribe, which tries to follow "in their own way" the ancient customs of the Lenape. Majauchsuwi, which means union or being of one mind, is both the name by which the tribe refers to this place and the creature that controls it, as they are unable to distinguish between the two concepts.

Until now, the Unami were content in their territory, fiercely protecting it, but with no intention of leaving. However, something terrible seems to have awakened, frightening Majauchsuwi, who has begun sending its people out to gather information, fighting for it if necessary.
